Synopsis: Red Wine and Diamonds, or the Plot to Stop the Worst Event Ever to Happen
Sadie is being sent away from New York City to a boarding school in Connecticut. Her parents just got a divorce. She's going through a lot of new changes. On top of that, three weeks after the divorce, her father finds the love of his life, Nadia. Turns out that Nadia is Sadie's single aunt, and they're getting married just before she leaves for boarding school. Sadie is going to make sure that this is a wedding to remember, and hope to forget...

No.
Dad looks at me, concerned. "Sadie? Are you okay with this? Do we need to talk?" I'm trying to hold back tears. I'm not sad, though. I'm furious. How can he do this to me? Doesn't he know what's going on? Doesn't he know who Nadia is? Doesn't he? This is illegal, polygamist! Okay, maybe not polygamist, but isn't there a rule somewhere in the deep shadows of law and order that says that you're not allowed to marry your ex-wife's aunt?
It was inevitable. I saw how he looked at her at the New Year's Eve party. I reluctantly swallow all my objections and nod.
"That's great, Dad..."
