Synopsis: *Insert Ideas Here*
The year is 2025. Thirteen years ago a virus was released in Washington DC. No one knows who released it, but the effects were devastating. In less than three years the virus had spread across the country. Not long after that military control was declared. Soon the Peace Police covered the country, destroying areas that showed signs of serious infection. The first sign of infection is that the pupils become vertical, like a felines. As a result it has been nicknamed the Cat Virus. After you have been infected there are only two results, you either die or you become a powered. Powered come in many forms; some lose their sight or hearing but gain other senses, some are plagued by visions, and a smaller faction are given powers that allow them to heal, cause explosions, make things grow, or even shield others. These powers made them different and, in the eyes of many, dangerous.
There is only one place where the powered are accepted, in Chicago. The city was a center of infection and as such was mostly destroyed by the Peace Police. From the ruins grew a society of gangs. The largest two were the True Crosses, a religious gang bent on the destruction of powered, and the Witch’s Cats, a gang dedicated to protecting powered. For six years they have existed in a state of constant gang warfare. Life was dangerous but it was routine. That was until the Peace Police declared it perfectly legal to find and attack powered. Now powered are pouring into Chicago, seeking haven with the Witch.
