Synopsis: Perso (What Happened There)

In the rural Louisiana town of Perso, a group of young boys find a strange creature crawling out of Bayou Perdu and promptly stone it to death. When news of the creature and its death reaches the local media, a firestorm of activism and negative public opinion rain down on Perso. Meanwhile, strange, seemingly unexplainable things start happening in the town--one of the boys gains telepathic powers, people turn up missing, more unusual creatures are spotted in uncomfortable places, and ugly strangers deliver frightening messages. Some of the town's residents mount an offensive against the creatures, while others mount an offensive against these people (whom they dub "the Intolerants").
