Hearing a noise from the bed, under the shadows of the makeshift canopy, Victor perked up a bit. Oh, so that's where he was. Victor had expected to have already seen his faithful pet upon entering the room, but now realized he must have been sleeping instead of rushing to the door to meet him. It was rather amusing, how loyal pets could be to their masters, and how they made it seem like their master's return was all they cared about. They made you feel like you were the only person who mattered in the entire world.
Clicking his tongue a few times to call his pet, Victor reached up and rested his fingers on his tie, almost prepared to loosen it, though deciding at the last moment to change his mind. It seemed a little odd, how he didn't feel comfortable undressing quite yet, or even becoming relaxed around his pet. He felt compelled to keep his suit on a little big longer, wondering sometimes if his mind was a little reluctant about giving up his power type personality in favor of becoming someone normal. Just a man, sitting around with his loyal dog, reading books, listening to music and drinking wine until it got so late that he knew he wouldn't be able to stay up any longer. Though, it didn't seem the worst option in the world, Victor still took much more pleasure in his business life than in his personal one.
Hearing the noise of his pet again, realizing that he must be stirring awake from his nap, Victor nearly smiled when he saw the familiar golden haired creature slide off of the bed and pad over to him. He kneeled down in front of Victor, looking up at him expectantly, though Victor knew the other wasn't able to see him. His loyal pet had been made blind during an accident, one which Victor wondered sometimes if he had been responsible for, or if he would have been able to prevent it in some way. The animal had been struck with a disease when he was younger, one which during Victor's kinder days he had been trying to find a cure for. Unfortunately, he had been unable to find a cure when his research burned in a fire that had taken place at his previous office. Though he'd never told anyone, Victor knew well that his method for the cure hadn't succeeded and that the research was of no use to him any longer. Though, the media knew how close he had been, and it got his name out there and gave him a bit of fame that he'd been craving his entire life. He was sure that one of his coworkers, jealous because of his achievements had set the fire, but Victor was thankful for it the more he thought on it. It had gotten him to where he was today.
