Synopsis: The Wrong Side of the Page

Genre: "seat-of-your-pants". Fantasy with a large helping of no clue. I'll have to see where it goes.
It has ventured into Adventure, though still mostly no clue, and definitely taken on the overtones of humor.

The narrator is out of sorts, the muse is missing, and the ordinary isn't quite so ordinary any more. Hold on tight. This is gonna be one wild ride.

So far, there is an average Rob, a young woman, a child assassin, a talking cat, and a faeling. Other characters include a mute Seer, a younger guy, his blind sister, and a man with shocking talents.
Cameos by the Pothole that Ate My Car and the Plot Ninjas.

Excerpt: The Wrong Side of the Page

“Rob – you're soaking wet! What happened?”
Rob was in a bad mood. He stormed into his building and stalked past a concerned Tracy without even looking at her, muttering something about a pothole eating his car. He dripped his way to the elevator and created a small lake as he waited for it to arrive. It was a long wait; by the time the car reached him, the water had taken over the first floor and was threatening the stairwell. He ignored the four other people in the elevator; they ignored him. That was fine with Rob: he was in a bad mood. He glared at the wall of the elevator in ineffectual ire. Someone had once again managed to switch the normal tape of insubstantial elevator music for something more suited to the tastes of a teenager – the current rage was a revival of the music of the late 20th century – and now the speakers were loudly blaring hard rock. Namely, “Enter the Sandman”, by Metallica.
