Synopsis: Not Your Mother's Goddess & Heaven Born
Not Your Mother's Godess
Daeanne Singer is bright and beautiful with the potential to be one of the most popular girls in school, but her parents hold her back. It's bad enough that they're over protective, but when her mother takes over her high school English class when the teacher becomes ill, Daeanne thinks she'll die.
The final straw comes when the new boy in school--totally too hot to handle--shows interest and asks her out. Daeanne's mother forbids her to hang around with him, citing his interest in the cult of the forgotten goddess as her reason. They fight and, in a flare of anger, Daeanne tells her mother she hates her and wishes she was dead.
Her wish is granted soon enough, when her hot new boyfriend turns out to be a monster and her mother dies while saving her life. Daeanne loses not only her mother, but her father turns away, lost in his grief over losing his only love.
Desperate, she prays to the forgotten goddess for help.
But, the response she gets is NOT what she had in mind.
Heaven Born>/U>
She'd come to Earth to find her father, but what Lilliana D'Atala found instead was a world filled with people who would use her magic or destroy her for her differences should they find out she was alien.
Forced to learn their languages and their customs in order to survive, Lilliana finds herself struggling to hold onto her sense of self and her life among the stars.
