The Christmas season was upon us once more
Decorations were strewn all over the floor.
Some for the walls, some for the shelves,
Lots of decorating for me and the elves.
Can't get gifts, it's just cards for this year
For family and friends that live far and near.
Our thoughts are about you, we’re wishing the best
For the upcoming year, well you know the rest.
Although we’re not rich, we’re generous in heart
And hope that our paths never shall part
So know that this gift you hold in your hand
That looks like a card but means something grand
Carries a measure of the love that’s between us
In these simple words, Merry Christmas.
