Yeti, My Love
an excerpt
And so I crash landed in the middle of a snowy evergreen forest on the side of a vast mountain the likes of which I had never seen before. At least not literally, I had seen it figuratively everyday of my life. I’m a very figurative person. It seems sometimes as if my entire life was nothing but a very long extended metaphor. But these trees were no metaphors, and this snow was no metaphor. I couldn’t help but think how alike the mountain and the extremes of human emotion were; beautiful to imagine, the perfect subject for a poem, but perilous to actually experience.
I warned you about the metaphor thing.
