Brief Author Bio:

This will be year No. 7 for me. Multiple years of failure have not stopped me from pursuing the lovely masochistic November challenge.

I work for a newspaper as a reporter and write creatively in my free time. I graduated from Purdue with a degree in Creative Writing - though this in no way has made me a more confident writer, all it's done is make me realize how much better everything I write could be; it's a maddening sort of situation. The more you know about writing, the harder it is to please yourself.

Synopsis: Twin Kingdoms

Each year the hardened Northmen descend by the thousands from their icy homeland to raid the rich and fertile Heartlands. Men and women from the Twin Kingdoms and Free Cities heed the call to defend their continent to defend The Bridge, the one vulnerable landing site for the seasonal raiders.

This summer will be the first for Turio Argent, the son of a man revered by all who have served at the bridge, now maimed and unable to serve. Boys turn to men and knights are made during the long summers and autumns at The Bridge. And by the time winter comes, there may be more than Northmen to worry about.
