Synopsis: Alternative Fuel
In a not so distant future of megacorporations, fast cars, and rapidly declining natural resources, a teenage boy re-discovers magic, and agitates a centuries old rift between Humankind and the near immortal Elvish Order.
Excerpt: Alternative Fuel
He stood waiting at the door to get in. His black leather topcoat sitting against his lean but muscular frame, a bit form fitting for a coat even though of the ten silver buttons that went down from the exaggerated collar to just above his waist, only the middle few were buttoned. His jeans were dirty and frayed at the bottom where they hung over his matte black engineering boots, leather straps pulled tight against a shiny steel ring on the side of each boot. The boots added almost an inch of height to the already imposing elf, but he felt oafish and human wearing them. His ears stuck out from his short half spiked, half tousled black hair, the points reaching almost to the top of his head, the night air filling them with all the sounds of humanity. The line was a cross between Renaissance fair, heavy metal bar, and comic book convention. Exhuman is a night club, devoted to a particular lifestyle, namely the elf obsessed human. It was all pretty laughable to Lew, these humans putting on silicone ears and mixed period clothing, speaking in bad English accents, ordering absinthe and Elwyn Ale.
