Synopsis: The Jade Star of Athering
Bellica Agate has never cared particularly about anything outside her sphere — she and her Regiment have been stationed in Harbourtown for the past decade, and that’s the only town in Athering they’ve been terribly concerned about.
But just a few months ago, she and her regiment got called back to Atherton, where they fought against an invading force intent on taking their homeland. And now a new trouble has arisen — a bandit army has occupied Southland, led by a woman calling herself the Gypsy Queen. Athering’s own Queen has asked Bellica Agate to go on a diplomatic mission to Southland to discuss a truce with the bandit army.
Agate agrees, but this mission is more than it seems…and the secret she discovers could change Athering — and her — forever.
