Synopsis: Speak Without Sound
Amber Hollenbeck has an extraordinary love for music. Her acoustic guitar is her best friend, she writes songs during her free time, and her CD collection is something brag-worthy. But she's mute. Due to a faulty surgery when she was young, her voice is permanently gone - no speaking, no singing. Her only way of communicating with the outside world is through her notebook, since she's decided she wants to go to 'regular' school with the 'regular' kids. Her education at the McGowan Academy for the Musically Gifted may be the easiest lessons she has to learn.
