Synopsis: The Weres
Milo and Meena, twin brother and sister, have always been a bit different than most other 12-year-olds. For one thing, they change into animals. Another thing? They have to save the human race from a power- high 13-year-old in a million to one chance of success.
Excerpt: The Weres
She knew it was stupid, she knew it might get her killed, but she knew she couldn’t stay there any longer. Seeing the hunters’ eyes follow the rabbit, Meena darted out the opposite way she had entered and might have made it if she hadn’t stumbled on a branch. With a snap, the wood cracked, and the hunters’ gazes trailed over to her. They stood in shock as the unnatural glow of wide animal eyes peered at them in the darkness.
