Synopsis: Sundara
Our heroine is one of five young people born without markings. She and the other Neutrals leave their families for the palace of the Sundara. There they will be trained in magic. Each one possesses skill in a particular element; earth, wood, fire, water, and air. After their training, one will be chosen to lead their nation as the next Sundara.
Excerpt: Sundara
“Well gee. I’m sorry if we can’t all be Neutrals going to learn awesome powers and be leaders of the entire nation.”
“You’re right. We can’t. Oh wait. Yes I can!! And don’t you forget it. When I become Sundara, I’m totally commanding you to work in the feilds for all your life.”
“I don’t think that falls under your political power.”
“Hey. Who’s Sundara in this scenario? That’s right. Me. And I’m changing the rules.”
“Ormiach help us if you become the Sundara.”
“Kiret, supper’s ready,” Kiana’s older sister called from the kitchen. “Is your boyfriend staying for supper?”
Kiana could feel blood quickly rushing to her cheeks.
“No, I’m about to go home,” Caas called back. “Ha. If you turn any redder, Kiana, you might burst into flames.”
“Shut up and go home.”
