Brief Author Bio: Husband, father, troubleshooter. Writer. Been some places, seen some things. Lived in the South, the West, and the middle of the Pacific. Worked with microchips and molten steel and the written word. Loved my little ones until they were big, then loved them even more. Blessed with a woman who adores me enough to tolerate my faults - and that's no easy feat, let me tell ya! Summary of summaries and where I want to be: here, now, father, husband, writer. |

Synopsis: Dead Reckoning
Petty Officer Third Class Benedict Nash is not having a good day.
A Navy electronics technician on his first tour at sea, assigned to a Viet Nam era rust bucket pulled out of the mothball yards to do the Navy's grunt work while the real ships fight the ever-escalating war on terror.
Shortly after his ship rescues three injured foreigners in a US Navy lifeboat, his online "Dear John" chat with his girlfriend back home is interrupted by a sudden communications lockdown. Minutes later, alarms sound, sending the crew to general quarters, and he finds himself alone in a tiny radar room, freezing in the blasting A/C needed to keep the equipment cool. Hours pass with no explanation from his superiors, nothing to eat or drink, and no bathroom breaks. He sure his day can't get any worse.
Then the zombies come.
