Brief Author Bio:

I work as a freelance writer and editor because I thought that would allow me some freedom and time to write creatively, also. It sort of works, but I'm still writing toward that first published novel. And I do love my work as a journalist -- interviewing people, learning about new things and writing it all up into feature articles for newspapers, magazines and nonprofits. My first book, Yes! I Am Catholic, was published in 2007 and this fall I have an essay in the newly released A Cup of Comfort for Breast Cancer Survivors. I also teach writing and offer a mentoring program in writers in which I "coach" them toward reaching their goals. I started a blog this year at www.goodnessofthegarden.blogspot.com.
