Brief Author Bio: Hey everyone! My name is Kaisa and that's what most people call me, but some people also call me Kim or Sunshine, so feel free to choose from those three. I have a severe addiction to Pepsi. If I could drink it everyday without getting fat and ruining my teeth, I would be eternally happy. I'm bilingual. I speak English and Finnish fluently. I also speak some Swedish and French. I did study Italian for 6 months, but I can't say that I speak it. Hopefully I'll get a chance to study more sometime. My current location is Finland, but I used to live in California. I love to travel. I listen to almost any kind of music. I am "smart" by academic standards, but if you get to know me, you'll soon find out that I'm a very carefree person who thinks school shouldn't be taken too seriously. In fact, I'm usually the person who does all their homework before class and starts studying for tests at 10 PM the night before. I'm probably the palest person you'll ever meet. I live in Finland, where almost everyone is pale, and even the people here think I look like a vampire. That's me in a few sentences. |

Synopsis: Pictures of Gloria Vaudeville
"It was like a game of fill in the blanks. Only these were blackouts in memory, plot holes in a story."
Joanie Swanson, night-shift nurse and almost mum to her teenage younger brother, Jude. Her life may not have been completely run of the mill, but it was far from abnormal. That's why she sure as hell didn't think that in the course of just one, supposedly ordinary week, it would become a jumbled mess of old files, dead ends and anonymous leads. Turned into an amateur version of Sherlock Holmes (or rather Watson), Joanie teams up with criminal investigators Bran and Rachelle to discover the events leading up to the supposed murder of her own grandfather, Russell, a cop who disappeared into thin air three decades ago. Eager to discover the story, they interview "Désirée" an amnesiac who has seen better days. What Joanie didn't expect? To hear the life story of this enigmatic woman. Spellbound, she becomes addicted to the enthralling tale of young adults, struggling to make it in 1970s Los Angeles. Will the mystery of her grandfather be solved in the midst of the storytelling? And what does “Désirée” have to do with it all?
