Spellbound
an excerpt

Oh great, another one who wanted a piece of Hung’s estate, Fei Long thought. How come Robin Leung only knew that he was related to Hung, after the news about the status of his estate had spread around? He should’ve known before that he was related to Hung - although Fei Long could not understand how because Hung Tan Xian had never gotten married -, then perhaps, he could help protecting Hung when the Baishe organization came barging into his vast estate. The fact that Robin Leung only ran a check after Hung Tan Xian actually died proved that Leung did not have respect to the elders.

Fei Long gave a signal to Kelly to stop feeding him. He decided not to say anything until Leung finished with what he wished to tell Fei Long.

“I have to assure you that I will not take any revenge over the ambush or the death of Hung Tan Xian,” Robin Leung continued, he sounded more confident, “however, as I seem to be the only surviving relative, I believe I have the right on his property.”

Fei Long still did not say anything, he was munching on a piece of steamed fish Kelly was putting into his mouth. It was cooked Thai style, very hot, and it was extremely delicious with the flesh extra soft. Under the table, he put a hand on Kelly’s thigh, patting her affectionately. Kelly stiffened.

“I understand that it took you a lot to… take over the estate, and given Hung’s reputation in the past,” Robin Leung kept on talking. Fei Long pulled Kelly’s skirt up slowly, he only half listened to Leung’s words, “I won’t have any grudge about it, and I understand if you still want to keep some portion for yourself,” When the hem of Kelly’s skirt had reached her mid-thigh, showing smooth skin, glowing under the light, Fei Long slid his hand inside, “after all you were the one who did the hard work and I know that you keep a painting collection in your own mansion…”

Leung’s words were cut short by a loud sound of gunshot, followed by blood splattering every where, Leung’s blood as his head was blown away by a single bullet, on the table, the chairs, the wall, the guests, girls, but Kelly, screamed and ran out of the room but neither member of both organization moved.

Fei Long got up, smiling satisfactorily. Next to him, Kelly had gone very pale and very rigid. “You know, the girl’s best friend is not a diamond,” he said. “It’s a mini revolver.” He victoriously put the small gun, still smoking, on the table.

He found the small gun when he touched Kelly’s thigh and felt the metal bulge strapped beneath the soft fabric of silk, and he knew instantly that Leung had meant to play dirty. He simply did not believe that Kelly kept the gun for protection. He squeezed the girl’s bare shoulder. “Thanks for making my job easier. Derek Wong will give you some money tomorrow, enough to make sure that I don’t have to see you in Hong Kong ever again.”

He lifted his hand from Kelly’s shaking shoulder, brought it to his mouth and licked Leung’s blood that covered it, savoring the sweet, thick and metallic taste of the fluid.
