Synopsis: BANNIGAN
The railroad reaches Zebedee, Kansas in the 1870's and the once-quiet town is booming. Along with the prosperous cattle buyers and storekeepers, comes a less desirable element -- the rowdy Texas cowboys, the gunmen, gamblers and soiled doves.
When beautiful Molly Tamblin is brutally murdered after revealing the violent history of a certain newcomer to Zebedee, Marshal Clay Bannigan swears her killer will hang for his crime.
Bannigan thinks the case is a clear-cut one, but as he investigates the young woman's murder, his findings lead him to a very different conclusion, and uncover a dark side of rough-and-ready Zebedee that Bannigan himself was unaware of.
Bringing justice to a lawless Western town is never an easy task. Bannigan discovers how much harder it will be when the men who must be brought to justice are his own friends.
(Go ahead and laugh at the following. . . I got kinda carried away!)
Gritty dialog, heart-stopping suspense, pulse-pounding action, interspersed with moments of hilarity and tenderness. . . You get it all in this tale of betrayal, murder, and justice set against the raw backdrop of a decadent Kansas cow-town where an argument is settled by the thunderous report of a Colt Peacemaker, and Hell is just a shot of rotgut and a hair-trigger away.
