Brief Author Bio: I'm never any good at writing about myself; it always feels a little forced, if you ask me. But here we go: I'm a 23-year-old New Jersey transplant out here in the Inland Empire of southern California. I've bounced around to so many different places, it's hard for me to pinpoint a hometown. Not a military brat; my parents just liked change. As a result of that, I tend to get bored if I'm in one place for too long. I love learning new languages: I lived in Switzerland for four years and learned French, German, & Italian while I was there. My next goal is to tackle Russian or Arabic. I've loved writing ever since I can remember. When I was about eight or nine, I wrote (and illustrated!) my very own novel. 'Ferdinand & the Richest Secret'. I had this desire to be the youngest person ever to get her work published (although, to this day, I still don't know if I would've made the cut). When my novel was complete, I sat down with a glass of chocolate milk, the telephone and the Yellow Pages and called up every publisher I saw listed. Not surprisingly, no one took me very seriously when I asked them what I needed to do to get my book published. Thus, Ferdy has remained lost to the world and is most likely shoved in the bottom of some box in storage somewhere. |
