Synopsis: Traffic Jam

A bunch of people drive onto a highway. Traffic stops entirely, for no recognizable reason. The novel will follow these characters as they search for meaning amidst an existential crisis. It will also follow them as they attempt to accomplish their day's goals while stuck on a highway.

Excerpt: Traffic Jam

Sometimes, you just can't deal with life. Your wife's screaming at you. Your boss is demanding results you can't deliver. Results nobody can deliver. The bills come faster than you can pay them. Sometimes, the pressures are even less consequential. Your friend bailed on a night on the town. Another night when the lottery balls didn't fall your way. Your favorite sports team couldn't pull out the win. Sometimes, even those things can be too much for you.

Sometimes, you just need to go with the flow. Roll with the punches, send the pitch to the opposite field, take the charge, run downhill for a change. Sometimes you let the world come to you and then you deal with it on your own terms. Sometimes, you just need to get in your car, roll down the windows, pump up the radio, and hit the open road, and just ride.

It's getting harder and harder to find the open road, though.
