Synopsis: God is a DJ
Everyone at synagogue is aflutter with Henry.
Everyone except Coraline, that is. She knows Henry - they met, four years ago, on her summer program in Israel, and he was pretty much the last person on Earth she expected to see in Chicago. On her home turf. What about all that nonsense about the Midwest being "fly over territory"?
It's not easy seeing the guy you had a totally inappropriate crush on unexpectedly. And then he turns out to be one of your best friend's cousins. And then he turns out to be working for a Hillel on a different campus, meaning you now might see him at work as well.
Or when your roommate develops the slightly annoying habit of mentioning Henry everytime she's on campus. Or how everyone raves about the way he leads services. Which is annoyingly really, really well.
But after a terribly unflattering first encounter, Coraline is pretty sure that all the angst is on her side. Again. Determined to put him out of her mind, she continues her quest to find her place in the community and to refine her work with the Hillel students on her own campus. After all, a Jewish educators work is never done.
Henry seems to be predetermined to be the one who got away, but Coraline knows it never pays to underestimate how crazy life can be.
