Brief Author Bio: (This was my bio for 2008; I haven't yet updated it for 2009, though I am participating!) I planned to fail. Or rather, I didn't have a plan, and didn't expect to do 50K. I don't have an outline, though I tried to write one on day 4. It didn't work. I had thought I'd approach things this way: write a bunch of short stories filling out a setting, then filling in the connections, if there are any. But while I was getting ready to go to my first write-in on the 1st, my story came together. Yay thinking in the shower! I'm glad I'm not allowed to edit, because I keep realizing that something I wrote two days ago will not work and will need to be changed. When I'm done with November, I may actually know what the final state will have to be, so I won't have to edit and re-edit things thirty times, just maybe ten or so. And if you're looking for actual 'bio' info, I do work that's somewhere between boring and cool, I've got lingering insecurities from a youth as an outcast and I keep reminding myself that I have my health, I can read, I know where my next meal's coming from and that there'll be a roof over my head tonight, so in the grand scheme of things I'm doing really well, regardless whatever I'm stressing about today. And now, I've gotta get back to work. The hecticness is incessant. |

Synopsis: A Day Off: A Holiday Tale (second half)
I'm planning on finishing the novel this year. I've got to read what I've written so far, sketch out the plot, figure out what remains to be written and write it.
There's a person who wakes up somewhere else. Mystery! Adventure! Vacation!
