Brief Author Bio:

Dr. Devlin grew up in sunny Southern California, praying for white Christmases. She loved boogie-boarding at the beach, hiking the Sierra Nevada and riding her horses on the San Bernardino(?) river wash. She majored in physics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, MA, an indescribable experience. There, she married another "Techie" and the two of them went on to graduate school at the University of California, Davis. Today, Dr. Devlin works on fabricating new types of electronics at a government research laboratory in Ohio (where she gets the white Christmases (sometimes)). She lives with her Techie spouse, three horses, and an inordinate number of cats.
