Brief Author Bio: I am a third year law student desperately pursuing a writing career. And my first novel comes out in February! Not a NaNo, though. *Still* revising my NaNo '08, which was my first NaNo. I did JulNo '09, but can't even bear to look at my JulNo draft yet. Oh, and revising what I hope will be my second novel. I take turns between it and NaNo '08. And I recently wrote a novella! My first one. Didn't have much to do w/ my book cover, but I must say I like it. Sexy, sexy. MMC doesn't actually have a tattoo, but maybe he should have one... |

Synopsis: Holding Her Breath
A story about a woman waiting for her life to begin and when it finally does, it begins in the most uncommon, most unexpected way. Chace makes Whitney challenge her most basic assumptions about everything in life. In a good way. She’ll never see the world the same way again once he’s done with her. Hopefully, he never will be. Think “Along Came Polly” in reverse. With a large, funny, and insane family instead of just Reuben's wacky parents. And less neurotic behavior.
Excerpt: Holding Her Breath
Whitney was about to step onto the curb when a man with longish, layered brown hair falling almost into his eyes quite literally ran into her. Well, stumbled into her was more like it.
“Hey, watch it…” Whitney’s voice trailed off when she caught the most startling ice blue eyes she’d ever seen with her brown ones. Her breath was literally taken away from her when he put his hands out, spreading his fingers against the shoulders of her jacket—whether it was to steady himself or her, she wasn’t sure.
She felt a sudden surge of warmth. It burned in her throat, her face. And she found she was unable to look away from those unfocused yet still gorgeous glacier-like eyes. They were the palest shade of blue she’d ever seen yet they made her feel warm all over. There was an intensity in his face, his gaze, that made her feel as if he had become the world. She had no idea why she suddenly felt so lost in this stranger. Even odder was the thought that she wanted to be lost in him forever.
