Synopsis: Cracked, Fried, and Over Easy

It's 1967, and Miles Hopper is a college age Saint Paulite who cooks for a popular diner. He feels very keenly that he is college age, but not in college, as most of his high school classmates are finishing up their studies and building lives. But apart from his work in the diner and some better-than-average juggling skills, he doesn't feel called to any particular life.

Most of his energy is consumed pining over his charismatic roommate's casual college girlfriend, and attempting to prove to them both that he's in tune with the energy of the time and the coming Summer of Love.

Before the Summer is gone, the three of them will head west for San Fransisco for different personal reasons, but above all else, to find and retrieve Miles' teenage cousin, who has traveled ahead alone with a stash of her father's medicines and a reckless vitality the other three could never imagine.
