Brief Author Bio:

Why, hello there.

So, I'm 14 years old and love writing, although I have never really written a full story all my own before, so this should be exciting!

I did sign up, planning to participate, for NanoWriMo last year, however, I did not sign up until the 1st of November. Going into that not having a plot or any idea what I was really doing was not the best idea. This is year, I have more of an outline of my story and hopefully will make it through.

I spend most of my time acting, dancing, singing, and going to school, so most of my writing is done late at night, early in the morning, or between classes and shows. Yay!

Happy Writing to everyone!

Excerpt:

Honestly, she was starting to worry about herself. It could not have been healthy to talk to yourself as much as she did.
Nevertheless, Nicki put together a quick playlist of songs that were a mix of calming and upbeat tunes. The songs were sure to put her in the mood to write and hopefully prompt some inspiration out of her.
She pressed down upon the button to make her music begin and played it at a medium volume. She swayed to the soft, slow beat and let it fill her up. The mood of the music began to become one with her mood. She sang along quietly, occasioinally humming to herself. The wonder of individual objects making individual sounds to be put together to make one piece of beautifully strung composition was absolutely breathtaking. In her opinion, it was one of the most wonderful entities in the world.
There were only so many notes, so many sounds, that something could make, and yet, with each song, each artist, it was never the same. It was something other than the one before it. Something other than the ones to come. A song was a life, a story, put to sounds. It was amazing.
Once it felt that the music was inside her, instead of out, Nicki sat back down to write. And inspiration filled her.
