Synopsis: The Whisper of Leaves
I guess the best way to describe it is a story loosely based upon the song "One Tin Soldier". I'm finding out new things about this story every day, so an accurate synopsis will not exist until the novel is finished. As of November 10th, I can tell you there is a lot of sappy, romantic puke involved, as well.
Excerpt: The Whisper of Leaves
Her feet carried her, onto the window sill, and onto the cool grass, and they were moving as fast as lightning. The dew was wet on her feet, and it chilled her, but she did not notice. The moonlight glinted upon her face, reflected in her tears, the cold wind causing them to streak across her cheek, like a dark, ocean horizon. The day was no longer with her, and it was just the night; cool, beautiful, and empty. The leaves rustled as she ran past trees, whispering, chanting “run, run, run”. She could not stop- she would not stop. Never, not for a million years. She would run across the sky- she would be a shooting star. But she would never stop running.
