Brief Author Bio: I grew up in DuPage County, Illinois and am a life-long White Sox fan. Sean Van Hal is actually just my pen name, my real name is Steve. I currently live in Tallahassee. I did NANOWRIMO last year and in retrospect in spite of "winning" I consider last year's novel brainstorming for this year's. I'll be updating this further over the next few days... |

Synopsis: $11/hr
A week and a half in the life of Shane, a well-educated twentysomething stagnant living in generic Chicagoland suburbia, stagnant in a boring clerical job and struggling to figure out what he genuinely wants to do with his life. Inspired by the life of the author, The Streets album "A Grand don't come for free", a touch of British comedy (Peep Show, Spaced, the Office), hundreds of punk rock albums and the novels of Charles Bukowski.
