Synopsis: Glass
Avery has been through a lot. Her parents divorced when she was four, and she has been stuck living with her alcoholic mother ever since. Love is a foreign thing to Avery. She has never felt it, and she certainly has never received it. All of that changes when she meets Peter. He is the quirky son of two avid book collectors turned store owners. For the first time, Avery feels like she's worth something to someone.
Proud to have found someone to spend time with, Avery brings Peter home to meet her mother. The meeting is a disaster. Avery's mother, Jeanne, gets angry and puts Avery in therapy for one reason: Peter doesn't exist.
