Nikki died. She watched it happen; she felt the fire eating her bones. She floated the universe of the otherworld.
But now Nikki is undoubtedly alive. And the world 'angel' surrounds everything she does--a new face, a new family, a new world.

Excerpt: The Dream Catcher
I have become a gypsy, I think. In this dusty desert town—this place where rain rarely falls and the sun burns with ambition—I have become what all those with pain in the past become—a wanderer. Though I stay in this small place for the sake of ease and comfort, I am not tied here. I do not sense that this is a home for me.
Sometimes I wonder about the place I was born—really born. Born a human. It was a medium-sized city—a very average place. Do people there ever wonder what happened to me? Did anyone ever wonder if I had become an angel?
How many people believe in angels anymore?
