"Our Sages tell us that the Scha came from a strange country across the water and set up their city in the Nefos, the mountain range that defines the western shoreline of the continent. A wintry, unforgiving range, the Nefos does not provide a hospitable home for the Scha even today. Yet their city is there.
"The legends of the People tell a different story.
"According to the People the great city of the Scha came out of the sky wrapped in swaddling of flame and ash. It settled into the Nefos and all wondered in amazement what had happened. Soon enough, the Scha came out of the mountains and to their dismay the inhabitants of the nearby lands learned what had happened."
