Synopsis: The Baker Incident

In the small town of Baker, Idaho, everything is normal. The farmers are farming their farms, the kids are trying to enjoy what remains of summer, and Sean Doramus has opinions on... well, everything.

Then the meteor strikes.

Dr. Ryder pronounces it a perfectly normal meteorite - colorful, and probably significant to someone else, but of no other interest. Sean isn't so sure - especially when his best friend starts moving objects with her mind and his dad shrugs off what should be a major injury. Before long everyone in Baker has developed some kind of power. His mother can control fire. The sheriff can talk to plants. The town doctor has become his own set of tools.

The only one with no powers, Sean finds himself on the sidelines - until he meets Carl, an outcast teenage supergenius. Together they begin to document the effects of the meteorite and the part it plays in The Baker Incident.
