Synopsis: We Can Still Play Together (working)
The Story of a young girl who loses her best friend and only playmate, Max, a black Labrador Retriever and how she comes to terms with love, loss and living life.
Excerpt: We Can Still Play Together (working)
If Suzie had been in a better mood, she might have raised her hand and pointed out that the Greeks had calculators long before anyone had computers, and that you wouldn't need electricity to do long division on a calculator, but she wasn't feeling up to it. All Suzie could think about was that Max had to be out there somewhere. She was sure that her Dad was out looking for him like he promised, but she knew that Max wouldn't come to Dad when he called for him. He only came for her. She didn't really think that her Dad would find him, or even that he could. She went through all the places that Max used to hide in her mind, but in a new neighborhood, Max could be anywhere.
