ALIVE.
What is it?
What is really being alive?
Heart pumping blood through your arteries, pounding against your ribcage, keeping time? Brain ticking away, counting seconds. One – US state – two – US state – until a whole day is gone? A whole year? A whole lifetime?
Or is being alive really just dangling, waist-out a car window, rock music flooding your ears until all you can hear repeatedly pulsing though you is AC/DC’s Highway to Hell? Until your heart beats with the rhythm and you know you’re definitely on the highway to hell, the highway to hell but you really don’t care. Is being alive snorting another line, taking another toke, drinking another bottle? Is being alive adrenaline? Is being alive really just slowly killing yourself?
That’s what I’d like to know.
