Synopsis: Story of a Girl
Emmeline Carter has the life people dream about. She has money, friends, a great school, perfect grades, and not to mention musical talent. The only thing she's missing, is a life. She's just an empty shell, trained to do exactly what she's told to please others. For her parents, she's the perfect daughter. For her friends, she's fun and outgoing. For her teachers, she's kind and respectful. That's all about to change when she auditions for her schools Musical Talents program. There, she meets some people she'll never forget who will shape her and force her to start living her life the way she wants to, and not what everyone expects her to. And, unfortunately, some aren't so happy with the change. But she soon has to realize that pleasing other isn't much of a life. As she completes her transition from petty girl to thoughtful human, her world gets tossed up again by a rape victim, a cutter, a mother who's never met her daughter, a band junkie, a lesbian cynic, and a whole lot of scary movies.
