Synopsis:
Captain Jericho Shroud and Ellison Reed are investigators, sent by the Agency at the Academy's request to solve a problem they have. But it looks as if success may be more deadly than failure; after only a day they're on the run, fleeing from what is rapidly becoming and all out war, not longer sure which is the right side, or even if there is one.

"So much death,” she whispered. “So much.”
“Yeah, and I think there’ll be more before long, and I don’t want to stick around for it. Come on, I’ll carry you.”
He bent down.
“They all died. I was supposed to die, and now they’re all dead.”
“But not for you. Remember that. You don’t owe them, you didn’t make them die."
