Synopsis:
Captain Jericho Shroud and Ellison Reed are investigators, sent by the Agency at the Academy's request to solve a problem they have. But it looks as if success may be more deadly than failure; after only a day they're on the run, fleeing from what is rapidly becoming an all out war, not longer sure which is the right side, or even if there is such a thing.

"So much death,” she whispered. “So much.”
“Yeah, and I think there’ll be more before long, and I don’t want to stick around for it. Come on, I’ll carry you.”
He bent down.
“They all died. I was supposed to die, and now they’re all dead.”
“But not for you. Remember that. You don’t owe them, you didn’t make them die."
