Synopsis:

When Eleanor Styles gets labeled a goth girl in her new school, she hates the idea. But gradually, she begins falls into the role, finding it easier to sink into the shadows than to blend into the crowd. Meanwhile, her online alter ego is making friends like crazy. One friend in particular occupies most of her waking (and sometimes sleeping) thoughts.
But what will happen when online meets real life and the identity of her new romance is revealed? And what about when he finds out who she is?

Excerpt:

Teachers, because it’s been so long since they were students, think that name games and partnered activities is a great way to start a new year. If they could remember all the way back to junior high, they’d realize that watching a movie or writing an essay or solving the Riemann Hypothesis with only a broken pencil would be far better.
