Excerpt: The Cordry Gate

After a few moments Hazel calmed down. Noon had passed now and the sun had reached its peak and began its decent for the day. Hazel poked at the magic wand items in the basket while Izzy read over the wand recipe. She would need to ask grandma Abby about the last two items she needed. She wasn’t sure where she would be able to find them in the junk house.
