Synopsis: Mathis (WT)
Mathis is an Arbitrator - a Messier diplomat who solves intergalatic disputes without wars or destruction. With her mentor, the high-ranking Arbitrator who just settled one of the biggest disputes in the Galaxy, leading her on her destined path, her future looks promising...
...that is, until Mathis is kidnapped.
They've been hired to silence her -- and the secret that she didn't know she was keeping.
Mathis's life steadily sinks deeper into corruption and lies, and the only way out is to decide quickly who she can trust- and it maybe the last person she thought she ever could.

Excerpt: Mathis (WT)
Her cell mate made no sign that he knew she was awake or even there, so she made the first attempt. “Hello?” Her voice echoed back to her, but he tilted his head just slightly in a sign that he heard her. She pressed against the bar, hoping for him to turn to her. He never did. “Can you hear me?”
If he heard her, nothing came of it. He made no move to speak or even turn toward her. Mathis gave in trying to be subtle and laid her forehead against the thick metal bar between them. “Do you know where we are? Who took us?”
Still no reply. “Hello?”
“Oh, I’m here, Mathis…” The same dark voice from her nightmare made every hair on her body stand on end. She jerked away from the bars, just as the man in the other cell looked up.
