Synopsis: Light Rift

The world as we know it is falling apart... literally. Everything we thought we knew is quickly becoming more inconsistant. This novel tells the story of a variety of locals who try to make sense of the intense situation they must face.

Excerpt: Light Rift

How much do we really know as a species? Are the seemingly unexplainable circumstances in this world beyond our ability to comprehend, or do we possess the potential to fully understand them? Even on a personal level we base our knowledge, our facts, on the continuation of mere patterns. These patterns may not even truly exist. They may only be simple things crafted by our instinctive attachment to consistency. If they do even exist, who is to say they will remain unchanged forever? Can one man claim to be sure of everything? Can he be certain of anything at all? If a spectacular anomaly occurs, will he be able to file it away in his mind as a continuation of a simple pattern? What if he cannot? What happens when man is presented with an unpredictable situation that breaks all patterns, and can truly be called new?
