Synopsis: The Living End
How far would you follow your dreams if there was no one to tell you you can't? How much can you, or anyone, accomplish, just by believing that you can? In a post-apocalyptic future, the only civilizations left are formed by the children who survived, but cannot remember, the end of the world. Artemis, with her scriptures on hand to guide her (a dictionary, and a fake religious tract entitled "What to do when you are Dead"), travels from shelter to shelter in search of the sea, the only clear memory she seems to be able to retain as she grows up. On her journey, she witnesses first hand how her race has shaped their lives, and the broken world they've inherited, without any adults to tell them not to attempt the impossible. What once would have seemed to be magic is just a matter of fact for these limitless believers- but still, Artemis is wary, for in this world that is hanging on to life by the barest thread, she cannot say for certain whether they are truly alive or dead.
