Synopsis: Adventure at the Squirrel Games
In a remote area of forest, a squirrel society has developed-they have several towns and annually hold what they call the squirrel Games. This is the story of Buddy, a young squirrel and his friends, who are excited about the Games and eager to participate. Little do they know that events are going to take place that will change their lives forever.
Excerpt: Adventure at the Squirrel Games
Hank, being the most sensible of the bunch, finally said “ok guys, I am heading down before I fall down.” He turned and ran quickly down the other side of the rock, which had a long gentle slope, unlike the side they had climbed. Reaching the grass, he turned and hollered up to his friends, “It looks like a squirrel convention up there! Come down before you break your necks!” Hank was always saying things like that; sometimes Buddy thought Hank was as bossy as his mother. Somehow, though, Hank always got away with it. Buddy and his friends overlooked Hank’s annoying little ways because they knew that Hank was smarter than them all and had a good instinct for knowing when a situation really was dangerous. In a way, Hank had become their good luck charm, because he had gotten them out of several tricky situations.
