Brief Author Bio:

I'm 24. Married. I work at Wal-mart, I'm a cashier. I'm really opinionated and I get nervous for no good reason. I like to play Dream of Mirror Onine. (Onyx Server. Destinys-Shadow.) I spend a lot of time reading, writing, watching movies, or listening to music. I live in all the eras at once and never stick to one style of music. I like to watch anime. I'm very protective of my true friends. They're my only family. And I love my husband more than anyone else on the planet. I fear zombies. I'm VERY liberal. I like to cook, but don't really like to eat that much. When I do eat, I enjoy salad, and sometimes a cup Ramen. Pocky is also delicious. I don't drive. I can't drive. I love poetry and science fiction. I have a cat named Spock, and you can probably guess my favorite TV show based on that... I also love Buffy the Vampire Slayer. My favorite movie is Repo! The Genetic Opera... and I love musicals. I used to spend a lot of time on Gaia, here, and Facebook... but I hardly get on any of them now. My favorite actor is probably Johnny Depp. My favorite author is Neil Gaiman. He's is your God, bow to him, now. I believe in a lot of conspiracy theories, but I don't really like to talk about them. Pirates are better than Ninjas. I love Chipotle. I love to wear tanktops and cargo pants and enjoy dying my hair, doing my nails, and putting on make-up... although I'm really not that girly. I hate to shop. I used to have a ton of piercings, I miss them all so much. I have one tattoo of rainbow stars around my left wrist. I want another one

Synopsis: Angels in the Fog

Angels in the Fog is a post-apocalyptic science fiction novel that's been my W.i.P. for quite sometime now. It's the story of a young slave girl named Jadelyn Shadowstalker who finds out about love and the meaning of life after being rescued by a rogue space pirate named Razmus Starscream and his android mechanic, K.

Excerpt: Angels in the Fog

Three things were absolutely clear to Jadelyn Shadowstalker as she slammed the pick into the hard rock wall before her. One, it was hot. Two, she really had no yearning to be a miner for the rest of her life. Three, and possibly the most important, somewhere, something in her life had gone horribly wrong.
Perhaps it was karma that bought her here, but she couldn't help but feel that she had done nothing so wrong to deserve to be enslaved by a race of aliens. There were little white lies, huge lies, gum wads stuck in hair, sneaking down stairs on Christmas nights to catch Santa Claus, a few vulgar words, and even the time when she'd wrapped a frog in firecrackers and catapulted it at Mrs. Johnson one July morning, but none of that warranted a lifetime of servitude, she thought.
Once her life had been somewhat normal... okay that's an outright lie by all standards. Her life was never normal, at least not what we'd call normal. Her father, Pyrite, was in the military and her family lived there in Ember Valley, a base in the middle of no where. She was one of the last natural births on Earth after a horrible disease ravaged the populous and was studied extensively by scientists for that very reason. Her sisters, born through the miracle of science just as her father was called to duty. A war had begun.
More and more people were shipped off-world to new terraformed planets everyday. She watched the news as the world emptied, while her, her friends, and neighbors were left in the small town to rot. They were told to stay put, the fighting was almost over, help was on the way.
Then, one night after Jade had turned 14, the air raid sirens went off and they rushed to the secret bunker in the woods Pyrite had built for their safety. A few days later when her mother lead them from the small place to see if it was safe, aliens took them by gunpoint to see their leader, Serj. Now she was here... she would be here until she died.

2nd Excerpt & My Favorite Part so Far:

There was silence as Razmus skimmed the ship out of the way of a huge astroid and into the pass, causing K to fall out of his chair and flat on his face into the hall. He scrambled quickly to his feet, but the ship was moving so much he couldn't manage to keep his footing at all. The captain managed to dodge the bigger rocks finally bringing the ship to rest on a huge astroid and turning off the engines so the heat seekers couldn't locate them if some crazy alien did manage to wiggle his way inside the wall.
K finally got inside the cockpit where Razmus was sitting smuggly in his seat with his feet up and his arms behind his head, a huge grin on his face.
"We could have died!" K called loudly.
"No way, buddy. We were good the whole time. I didn't even brake a sweat."
"What's that then?" K said pointing to the beads of moisture dripping down his forehead.
"Liquid awesome, pal. Just go check in our annoyances and make sure they're still breathing. I've gotta call the king, let him know about the little snafu and then I'll be back there to help you out."
