Synopsis: Meeting My Soul

"Four days in the presence of God can feel like a lifetime."

Going into the trip, Mallory Shay had no desire to be in her position. The trip was just her mom's attempts to get her out of the house. But as she continues, she learns some of life's most valuable lessons... and connects with what she's shunned her entire life--- God.

Based upon the events of a church youth trip.

Excerpt: Meeting My Soul

"Look," I snapped, "I don't know what God is trying to tell me, or if he even exists! All I know is that life has screwed me over an ample amount of times, and there has not been a soul out there, human or supernatural, that has shown any sort of mercy! how am I supposed to believe that this invisible overlord should mean anything to me?"

"I don't know, Mallory," he said. "No one can know. But anyone can take their chances and believe. That's all it ever takes."
