Synopsis: Love Transcending

Very rough work in progress:

Gabriel Anderson's parents weren't too thrilled when their son started showing a tallent for wooing the ladies. Even at an early age, he seemed to have a knack for impressing girls of all ages. As he grew older, this only intensified.

Then one wintery night in 1927, Gabriel went missing. No trace of him was ever found, but it was suspected that an angry husband caught wind of a relationship Gabriel was having with his wife.

Fifty-four years later a young girl is having her seventh birthday, and recieves a journal. After only a couple of days, she begins talking about her new friend, Gabriel.

Thinking that it is only an imaginary friend, her parents don't pay much heed to the news. Though after months of constantly talking about Gabriel, they start to worry.

They eventually find out that their daughter has been writing letters in her journal to the man named Gabriel, and that he's been writing letters to her in return.

Excerpt: Love Transcending

Rebecca ran around the corner by the music room off the main hall, and almost knocked the old photograph hanging on the wall, down onto the floor. He mother hollered after her, telling her not to run in the house. This of course hardly had any effect on the small girl. She slowed down just long enough to get out of earshot of her mother, and then took off toward the main hall. Today was her seventh birthday, and her friends were about to start arriving any minute. She hung by the front door, waiting for the ring of the doorbell. She didn’t have to wait long for the first one to come. Almost as soon as the bell rang, she wrenched open the door and squealed in delight at her best friend standing on the other side of the threshold. “Amanda!! Come on! I have got to show you this!” she said, grabbing her friend’s wrist and yanking her through the front door.

As they were running across the hall, Rebecca noticed her mom coming and slowed back down to a walking pace. She rounded the corner and took off down the hall with Amanda in tow. “I found it last night, crawling outside my window.” She told Amanda enthusiastically. Amanda was not too pleased to hear these words, and put up a little resistance as the neared Rebecca’s door.

As they entered, Rebecca let go of Amanda and headed for the corner of the room, to a small plastic box in the corner. She picked it up and turned towards her friend, and lifted it up to the light. “See?” she asked Amanda, smiling from ear to ear. Inside was a small blue-tailed skink. This apparently was not as bad as Amanda was expecting, as she stepped toward the box to take a closer look.
