Brief Author Bio:

Hey, you might know the user name from Twitter. I'm CJtheWriter, AKA Crystal. I live in a wee little country called New Zealand and I'm the legally adult age of 18. How cool is that? Hmmm...
I have a cat. Who's a bit of a lesbian towards me. Super clingy and cute!
That's all I have. Good evening.

Synopsis: Pieces of Loved Ones

All over the country unmarked packages have been appearing, and the contents aren't what the recipients are expecting. In the beginning we witness four stories, the Lithgows, Nathan Bakutin, Nicole Whitby and Detective Sargent Nielsen. All lives touched by death. Four turns into three as each make a grizzly discovery, one that takes another life.

Born of this is confusion, realisation, determination, and the shock ending that no one expects.

Excerpt: Pieces of Loved Ones

“Mack! Wanna open the box?” Morgan smiled and pushed it towards him. Mack's eyes lit up.
“Present for Macky?” He asked.
Teresa sat up, and smiled, entranced by the little boy's enthusiasm.
“Yes, Mack! Open it!”
Morgan almost jumped at the animation in her voice and smiled.
Mack grunted with effort as he tried and failed to get his clubbed four year old fingers under the packaging tape. Morgan gave him a helping hand, lifting a corner, which Mack grabbed enthusiastically and ripped with all his life. Leaning over the box, he opened first one cardboard flap, then the other, leaving the contents open for all to see.
Suddenly the boy is very quiet. They all are.
Inside the box is an arm.
