Synopsis: A World Together

Childhood friends Jainet and Simi are abducted from their fairy tale world and are separated and thrust into a sci-fi world. They've been robbed of their memories and each other. Will they be able to unweave the conspiracy, find each other, and make it back home? Or, instead of forgetting each other and their past world, have they just found a better world?

Excerpt: A World Together

It was an intense game of corkers for Steve and Gary – as rookies grew up to be levelers, the game began to get more interesting and once they were specialists, such as Steve and Gary, the game went into the fourth dimension. Thus, since the two specialists were at the high level of corkers, they were able to see both forward and backward in the timeline of the advance corker timeline. And, both of them saw problems with each of the one hundred and two moves that were possible. They had been going over the moves, as was mentioned, instead of checking the coordinates and its trajectory. That’s possibly why, when history looks back at this, why the two specialists missed the short blip and the small tremor that marked the irregularity in the passage in time.

It also introduced a small animal to the spaceship. The animal, called a Borp, didn’t last long. It was really resident to a different universe and from a different time. He had the presence of mind to drop his spore before he perished, though. The spore of a Borp are special, as they are able to exist in the environment that they are born. It helped the Borp survive for eons on their home planet, and helped them spread to many other planets, also. It didn’t help the other planets, though, as they tended to reproduce so fast that they started to crowd out other species. And, although the Borp were able to survive, it didn’t mean that their preditors also came with them. So, without predators, and with the ability to adapt and to procreate rather quickly, the Borp became a problem. A furry, green, oozy problem. They were very small – imagine you were sitting on a couch in your living room with your glass of wine and a bowl of nuts, looking at the fine wood floors you had put in. You are happy with your house, because it’s your house, and you decorated it. Only, your significant other just came back from a space trip, and has in an hour or less dirtied every dish in the kitchen, and has just dumped all of the dirty clothes in a pile in front of the doorway, like they had their own personal servant. You noticed that there were small green specs on the floor, and on the shoes left in a big pile. But, you have other things that need to be done first, so you start on them.

Like I said, you were sitting on the couch with your nice glass of pomegranate wine mixed with cranberry juice, trying to figure out what you need to do next. And, you look down at your floor, assuming that you will be looking at the proud floor that you just put in, and did with your own hard work. But, instead of seeing the fine wood grain and impeccable workmanship, you see something green. Only, a lot of green… all over the floor. You don’t want to step on it, so you lean down and run your old sweatshirt in it, getting a lot of the green on your sleeve. You look at it close, and see that it’s a bunch of little green animals. Freaked out now, you decide to walk over to the closet to get the broom and get rid of them. Only, when you walk across them, granted you tried to tip toe across them, since they were animals and all. But, even though you tried to shuffle and not step on the animals, you do anyway.

Let me describe what that feels like. Take an egg, and some snot, and throw in a boat load of old garbage, full of banana peels and expired beef. That’s the smell and the feeling of walking in it. I guess that’s what they call a defense mechanism. Very important information to know if you pick up a hitch hiker in the universe.
Unfortunately for the progression of the Borp to a different time and universe, the Borp had deposited its spore before perishing right behind the retro rockets. And, as the ship was turning soon after the deposit, the retro rockets fired and burned the spore to smithereens.
