Brief Author Bio:

Raised by Wombats in a secret cave in the Artic, I made my debut as the principal ballerina in The Pit & The Pendulum performed for Rock Men on the high slopes of the Austrian Alps. When I reached six feet in height and grew a beard, I was discharged from the ballet and joined the voyage of the airship Ratsass II as a picolo player and towel artist. Retired as captain at the end of '09 and began writing while starting my new career as a hospitality specialist at Wal Mart.

Excerpt: Bellian's Journey

Bellian wasn't happy about being taken out of the throne room on a stretcher, but the villain's sword plunged right through his thigh.
"Now what was that about not seeing any action?" Mullin said as he walked at stretcher's side. His head was bound just about his eyebrows.
"I've had enough for a few days. Did anyone find out who the men were?"
One of the stretcher-bearers spoke up. "One of the King's brothers. The men weren't after King Rollack, they were after the King of South Wansua."
"Saving the enemy. Just our luck." Mullin tapped Bellian on his arm. "Police work."
"What?"
"Police work. That's what happens when you take over another country. King Rollack's going to have to make sure South Wansua is properly rolled into his domain. Once the army moves on it becomes an occupation and the military left behind do police work. I did it before and it's a lose-lose situation. The people hate you and you end up hating them."
