Synopsis: Little Blue Bus

The van was blue. Not a blue that's nice to look at or even mildly pleasing to the eye, but the kind of blue that - and Eileen was sure of it - blind you if you stared at it for too long. This bus is both her savior and her own personal devil. It will provide her transportation to Virginia and all the colleges (away from her mother) it provides, but also promises the sarcastic banter and hell of an attitude its driver, Jaime, is sure to deliver. In this novel, join Eileen and Jaime as they drive across the country in the slightly unstable VW bus and blind various innocent pedestrians along the way.

Excerpt: Little Blue Bus

“Right...” Again, I took a step forward. The gravel underfoot shifted uncomfortably under my flats and sharp edges of the tiny rocks stuck through the thin bottoms of the shoes, making me squirm a bit where I stood. It was my only chance to go to Virginia, my only opportunity to get away from my mother and this tiny little town where nobodys and their families came to live and die a practically non-existent life. I didn't want to be a nobody. I didn't want my life to lead to nothing like so many peoples' had in this stupid, little town. On that thought, I moved forward once more. “Yeah,” I murmured, sliding into the passenger side of the van, “I'm coming.”
